Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst will be a vital part of the team in achieving service level, in-stock, and inventory turn metrics, ensuring that supply chain business strategies are implemented and maintained. This role will work closely with the Manager, Supply Chain & Operations to review sales orders, purchase orders, fulfilment EDI statuses, weekly inventory numbers, and many others.

This position is responsible for executing enhanced inventory practices using current and historical trends and analysis to maximize sales and inventory turns. The supply chain team plays a crucial role in our organization because it directly impacts the customer experience and ensures that the product, they are looking for is available for purchase. This role has a high level of accountability as it directly impacts the bottom line and customer perception. At the intersection of Supply Chain and Café Operations, the cross-functional team works on managing, optimizing, and execution of the replenishment strategy for regular and promotional DC fulfilment. As part of the Balzac’s Supply Chain optimization initiative, the supply chain team serves as the liaison between sales, cafe, 3PL, and other partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Purchase Order Support:

• Release and monitor systematically and manually generated sales orders after thoroughly checking against SPS portal or purchase order from customers using NetSuite to the 3PL partner so orders can be promptly picked and shipped.
• Manage 3PL inventory levels daily (stock-out and excess), working with the Manager of Supply Chain and Operations.
• Act as the primary person for managing all orders for Balzac’s online and wholesale customers.
• Work with freight forwarder and the 3PL partner to co-ordinate the flow of goods through the network.
• Draft purchase orders as per the direction provided by the Director of Supply Chain & Operations.
• Receive purchase orders promptly according to co-manufacturers' and vendors' packing lists.

Logistics Operations:

• Select appropriate carriers and shipping methods to optimize cost and delivery times.
• Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
• Manage all required inventory transfers to different manufacturing locations with the planning team. Execute warehouse transfers to ensure products and raw materials are at the right locations to support sales and manufacturing operations.
• Support and lead identification, setup, and management of finished product warehousing locations.
• Attend and lead physical counts of inventory at warehouse locations.
• Manage fiscal month/year-end closing activities.

Order Fulfilment:

• Manage the end-to-end order fulfilment process, from order receipt to delivery.
• Prioritize and allocate orders to the warehouse team for picking, packing, and shipping.
• Monitor order status and proactively address any issues that may impact delivery times.

Inventory Support:

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize errors and losses. 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Use data and analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fulfilment and logistics.
• Generate regular reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. 

Customer Service:

• Collaborate with customer service teams to address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfilment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in Business, finance.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
• Experience in using ERP: SAP, NetSuite, other
